Google Pixel 10: Tensor G5, 5x telephoto camera and Qi2 Wireless — Small Gains, Mixed Camera Tradeoffs

Design and performance

Google’s new Pixel 10 brings a refreshed system-on-chip, a 5x telephoto camera and Qi2-based wireless charging to the company’s base model. The upgrades are modest, and in camera terms some choices feel like steps backward.

For the first time in a Pixel, the phone runs on the Tensor G5 chip manufactured at TSMC. The handset ships with 12 gigabytes of RAM and is available with either 128 or 256 gigabytes of internal storage.

Display

The Pixel 10 keeps a relatively compact footprint by modern standards, with a 6.3-inch Actua OLED display. Peak brightness reaches 3,000 nits, the panel’s resolution is 1080 by 2424 pixels, and refresh rate toggles between 60 and 120 hertz depending on usage.

The display does not use LTPO technology, so refresh rate changes are not handled with a seamless, continuous adjustment.

Cameras

The headline camera improvement is a 10.8-megapixel telephoto camera unit capable of five times optical zoom. That telephoto camera is paired with a 48-megapixel main sensor and a 13-megapixel ultrawide.

Notably, both the main and ultrawide sensors are smaller by megapixel count and sensor size than those in last year’s Pixel 9.

Battery, charging and durability

Battery capacity grows to 4,970 milliamp-hours. Wired fast charging tops out at 30 watts, while magnetic Qi2 wireless charging supports up to 15 watts.

The phone measures 152.8 by 72 by 8.6 millimeters and weighs 206 grams. It carries an IP68 dust and water resistance rating.

Software and updates

Google ships the Pixel 10 with Android 16. As with previous Pixels, Google promises a lengthy seven-year update commitment. The software emphasizes a variety of on-device AI features.

Price and what’s in the box

In Finland the Pixel 10 is priced at 949 euros for the 128 GB model and 1,049 euros for the 256 GB version.

Comparable options at those prices include a discounted Galaxy S25 base model at 749 euros, the Galaxy S25 FE at 859 euros, the Nothing Phone (3) at 879 euros, and Apple’s new iPhone 17 at 999 euros.

The retail box includes the phone and a USB-C charging cable only. A power adapter is not included and must be purchased separately. The protective case shown in images is also sold separately.
