Design and display
OnePlus’ new Nord CE 4 Lite brings clear upgrades over its predecessor, with the display standing out as the biggest step forward. The phone uses a 6.67-inch OLED panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate and up to 1,200 nits peak brightness. That is a significant improvement over the LCD in the Nord CE 3 Lite. This generation also moves the fingerprint reader under the display.
Battery, dimensions and extras
The Nord CE 4 Lite packs a larger battery than the previous model, increasing to 5,110 mAh from the earlier 4,110 mAh. It charges over USB-C at 80 watts. The handset is 8.1 millimeters thick, 0.2 millimeters thinner than its predecessor, and weighs 191 grams, slightly less than the prior model.
OnePlus added an IP54 rating, a microSD card slot, stereo speakers and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
Performance and cameras
Performance remains unchanged from recent Nord CE models, powered by the familiar Snapdragon 695 chipset. The phone ships with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.
Camera hardware includes a 50-megapixel main shooter using Sony LYT-600 sensor supported by a 2-megapixel monochrome camera. The front-facing camera is 16 megapixels.
Price, availability and competition
In Finland the OnePlus Nord CE 4 Lite has a recommended retail price of 329 euros and is available for preorder now. Deliveries begin on July 1. At that price it competes with the Honor 200 Lite (329 euros), Nothing Phone (2a) (329 euros) and the Samsung Galaxy A35 (299 euros).
Street prices already undercut the suggested MSRP: OnePlus CE 4 Lite is being sold for 229 euros for at least Elisa customers.
Box contents and omissions
The Nord CE 4 Lite ships with OnePlus’ signature red USB-C to USB-A cable, documentation and a Red Cable Club membership card. A charging brick is not included, and unlike the previous model, there is no bundled protective case.
