Honor 400 Lite Packs Big Specs at an Entry Price, But Is It Enough?

Honor sticks to the Lite formula

Honor’s Lite models have always appealed to budget-conscious buyers by offering features borrowed from higher-end phones at lower prices. The new Honor 400 Lite follows that pattern, but the question is whether its feature set holds up in a fiercely competitive market.

One configuration for Finland, modest pricing

The review unit of the Honor 400 Lite sold in Finland comes in a single memory configuration: 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage. The official price is 299 euros, though promotional deals can bring that down to around 250 euros. Color options are Velvet Black and Velvet Grey.

Who it competes with

There are not many direct rivals launched this year in the same price bracket. Competitors to consider include the CMF Phone 2 Pro by Nothing, the Samsung Galaxy A36, the Motorola G56, and the HMD Fusion X1.

Several phones released last year have since dropped into the same price tier. Those models include the Nothing Phone (2a), Samsung Galaxy A55, Google Pixel 8a, Motorola Edge 50 Neo, and the OnePlus Nord 4.

What you get in the box

The Honor 400 Lite ships in a familiar thin white box with the essentials only. Inside you get the phone, a USB-A to USB-C cable, and a SIM eject tool. Honor does not include a charger or a protective case, leaving those purchases to the buyer.
