OnePlus Nord 5 Arrives in Europe as a Midrange Contender With Two Memory Options

OnePlus Nord 5 lands in Finland with two memory configurations

The OnePlus Nord line has long offered a compelling mix of performance and competitive pricing. As the midrange market gets more crowded, the question is whether the new Nord 5 can still deliver on that formula.

OnePlus launched the Nord 5 in Finland with two memory options. The cheaper model ships with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, while the higher-end variant includes 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage.

The suggested retail price for the 8 GB / 256 GB model is 449 euros. The 12 GB / 512 GB version is priced at 549 euros. OnePlus offers three color choices: Marble Sands, Dry Ice, and Phantom Grey.

Midrange competition is heating up

The Nord 5 competes squarely in the midrange segment, where the fiercest battles happen these days. Direct rivals include the Samsung Galaxy A56, Honor 400, Google Pixel 9a, Nothing Phone (3a) Pro, Motorola Edge 60, and OnePlus’s own OnePlus 13R.

Some phones released last year have already dropped into the same price bracket, adding pressure on OnePlus. Examples include the Honor 200 Pro and the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE.

Minimal unboxing, unchanged design

The Nord 5’s colorful retail box remains largely the same as before, though the package is slightly slimmer than its predecessor. The contents have not changed: inside the turquoise-and-black box you get the phone, a USB-A to USB-C cable, a handful of papers, and a SIM-eject tool.

Buyers will still need to provide their own charger and protective case.
